Putting up petunias

Washington parks employee Dale Haifley and parks director Tim Widmer hung 40 petunias baskets around the square. Two went on each light pole around the square and more will go in Central Park. Volunteers helped make the baskets last Saturday. This is the fifth year the planters have been displayed.

BRIGHTON — After receiving a grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) the Brighton Fire Department will be able to add more space to its building. The fire department was awarded $46,189 at the WCRF spring grant award ceremony on Wednesday, May 1.
